Nancy W. Magee, CFP®
Nancy W. Magee, CFP®, is Senior Financial Planner and founded the firm in June 1987. She made a career change to financial planning after receiving a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Colby College and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Kutztown University. In 1984 Nancy became a Certified Financial Planner™. She holds FINRA securities licenses as a registered principal with LPL Financial, member FINRA/SIPC. She is also a licensed agent for annuities and life, health, disability, and long-term care insurance.
She is a member of the Financial Planning Association, was a former Board member of the Berks County Estate Planning Council, and has been active with the Berks County Chamber of Commerce.
Nancy was a PA State Board member for the National Association of Tax Professionals. She served for many years as the host/producer of the Berks Community TV program “Financial Planning Profiles.” Her past community activities include serving as a Trustee for the Berks Community Trust, a private Berks County Financial Trust for the benefit of persons with a developmental disability. She was a recent member of the Kutztown University College of Business Advisory Board. Other prior community activities include serving as a Board Member of Family Guidance Center, and as an officer of Berks Women’s Network. She was also honored with the “Women of Influence” award by Lehigh Valley Business, and the “Beacon Award” by the Berks Women’s Network. Nancy was appointed by the Berks County Commissioners as a Charter member of the Berks County Commission for Women and served as the Commission’s Treasurer.
She has spoken to many groups on financial planning-related topics and has written articles for or has been quoted in Lehigh Valley Business, the Reading Eagle, the Berks County Women’s Journal, Journal of Financial Planning, and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Born in Philadelphia, Nancy made Berks County her home for more than 40 years. She recently moved to a new home in Tucson, AZ. She is married to Dave, is the mother of two grown children, and enjoys the company of her cat. She frequently visits her son in the Pacific Northwest, likes travel and cruises, and enjoys attending symphony concerts and baseball games.
