Financial Planning Advisors was founded in 1987 in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, by Nancy W. Magee, CFP®, EA, CDFA. Nancy was one of the first female Certified Financial Planner™ Professionals in Berks County and one of the first in the state of PA to earn the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation.
When Nancy decided to retire after 30 years of financial planning, Beth Gallen Mastromarino, CFP®, president and owner of Van Reed Wealth Management, acquired Financial Planning Advisors in 2016 and is now the president and managing director of the firm.
Beth believed the goals and values of financial planning advisors aligned with her own and those of Van Reed Wealth Management. She was excited to bring these two companies together to create an even stronger team of experienced professionals dedicated to providing high levels of client attention and sound financial planning.
In 2021, recognizing the value add for a tax advisor to explain and decode the ever-changing IRS tax laws, Beth hired Alex J. Patterson, CPA. Alex is a registered investment advisor representative for Financial Planning Advisors.
